Business and community leaders can help high school students learn how to “network” and practice their presentation skills by attending the 23rd annual “Connections to the Future” luncheon event on Thursday, November 19, 2017 from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Nogales High School. Organized and facilitated by senior students in the Career Certification Program at both Nogales and Rowland High Schools, the event teaches students professional networking and employment skills as they interact with business leaders. Participants enjoy a complimentary luncheon. This year’s keynote speaker is EJ Carrion, Amazon best-selling author of “How to Create a Future and Stand Out When College is Not Enough.” He will share with students how to market and brand themselves during this difficult time of few jobs and many college graduates.
*Business members interested in attending the luncheon and networking with students, please RSVP by November 2, 2017 by calling Vickie Burch in the School to Career Office at (626) 965-5975, x1572. (Nogales High School is located at 401 S. Nogales Street, La Puente, CA 91744.)
