The Nogales Boys Soccer Team hosted Pioneer High School in a double header game last night, first with the JV soccer team coming out with a 0-0 draw after an intense and much improved performance, and with outstanding game play from Jeovanni Santillan, Jesus Mondragon, Luis Perez, Walter Cardona, and Carlos Orduno who took part of a big shut out.
In the second game of the night, the Varsity Boys played in an intense game against a strong Pioneer team, but the Nobles would work their way out of a tight fought rainy game and WIN 3-2. Goals were scored by Sophomore Gabriel “Chino” Castillo, and 2 Goals by Senior Manuel Morales, assisting their goals were Jonathan Ortiz, and Jonathan Arias. The team played great but the player of the game went to the Senior Goalkeeper Christian Salas who had 12 amazing saves to win the game. Good job Nobles and thank you to those on the sidelines and bleachers that went out to support. The boys will travel on Friday to Colony high school to play a non-league match at 3pm.
