The Nogales High School Cross Country Team finished a successful year and made major improvements over last year at the Valle Vista League finals. Girls Varsity finished 5th, Girls Frosh/JV finished 4th. Boys Freshman 3rd, Boys JV 3rd and Varsity Boys finished 4th, just 16 points out of 3rd.
They all ran well and had great times, but came up a little short. Albert “Caveman” Villalobos finished first for the boys varsity team and freshman Jackie Gonzalez first for the varsity girls.
Individual Valley Vista League awards (first 12): David Arroyo in JV, Laura Martinez in girls frosh (11) and Enrique Garnica (3) in frosh boys. Freshman, Jonathan Arias, ran varsity and had a competitive time.
Thank you Coach Miller for this report and for coaching our runners.
