Nogales High School Class of 1965 50th Anniversary Reunion
Dear Nogales High School Classmates, faculty, and friends, of the class of 1965, Oh my, it is hard to believe that it is almost 50 years since the first class of Nogales High School graduated. Guys, it is time to unpack and dust off those Sir Guy shirts, Nehru jackets, Levis and khaki pants. Don’t forget the Huarache sandals. Girls, let’s see if you can still put your hair up into a bee hive. Pull out those “A” line skirts, the tight angora sweaters that the guys so dearly loved and don’t forget the “Peter Pan collars”. Let’s get together and celebrate 50 years since the first graduating class crossed over into much anticipated independence from Nogales High School. The 50th Anniversary reunion will be held September 25th and 26th of 2015. We will be kicking off the reunion September 25th with a meet and greet in the “Mauretania” hospitality room aboard the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. We will top off the event with a sit down dinner on the 26th in “Royal Salon” on the Queen Mary. Cocktails will be available at a cash bar at 6:00 PM. I will open the evening at 7:00 PM with some short remarks. After dinner, we will host an old time “sock hop”. If you have ever wanted to spend the night aboard the historic Queen Mary, but never had the opportunity, this is your chance. I have negotiated a room rate that is much lower than the Queen’s regular rate. This will be a once in a life time event. Don’t be left out. “Be there or be square!” Dress for the event will be informal or what Mr. Ingram or Miss Braithwaite would approve. Remember the Nogales dress code? The 50th anniversary reunion is open to the first four classes of Nogales HS, 1965, 1966, 1967 and 1968. Make your reservations early so that you’re not left out. If you have any questions or concerns, contact me [email protected] or 303 470 1187. We are always looking for volunteers to help us make this a memorable event. Bonnie (Whittier HS, class of 1965) and I are looking forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones. Sincerely, Dennis A. Steenbergen (Denny) “75” Class of 1965 Littleton, Co 80125
