Clean and green: People wade in to spruce up Whittier Narrows' riverbanks

SOUTH EL MONTE - Dozens of people braved the rainy weather Saturday to help clean trash from the San Gabriel River at Whittier Narrows.
The event is the first of its kind in nearly a decade, in part to the short staffing of the Nature Center.
